Freestate Electric, LLC Completes Acquisition of Deca Electric, LLC

Sojitz Energy Services LLC (“SOESCO”), the parent company of Freestate Electric, LLC (“Freestate”), announced that Freestate has successfully completed the acquisition of Deca Electric, LLC (“DECA”), a Baltimore-based electrical contractor specializing in control systems-related electrical construction services.

This acquisition expands Freestate’s capabilities in control systems, an increasingly essential component of modern building infrastructure particularly in mission-critical facilities such as government buildings, and hospitals. These systems support building automation, operational efficiency, and critical safety functions, including energy management, cybersecurity, and fire protection.

Founded in 1967, DECA has established a strong presence across Maryland and in the Washington, D.C. region as a trusted partner to leading system providers. Its skilled workforce and long-standing client relationships have made it a leading control systems contractor in the Baltimore market.

By bringing DECA into the Freestate organization, Freestate expands its technical capabilities while continuing to build on the strong foundation and shared values both organizations have developed over many years.
